Our Mantra is earth care, people care and fair share. The Paintbox Lodge strives to create a business system that nurtures community, leads in environmental stewardship and creates community.
The Paintbox Lodge lies within Treaty 7 territory, and we honour the tradition and spirit of the area by welcoming you to the traditional lands of Stoney Nakoda peoples. For centuries this area has been home and a place of hunting, gathering, harmony, balance and commerce for many peoples.
Many of our staff are Olympic alumni, or are hardworking athletes with Olympic aspirations.
A roof top solar installation supplies 50% of the Paintbox Lodge's energy. The remainder of our hotel’s electricity is supplied with 100% clean energy from Bullfrog Power.
We believe in healthy, local eating. Our herb garden is inspired by Permaculture design using a wicking bed. We do the small important things like promoting biking, reducing, reusing and recycling.
We support local food, local companies, and artists. Therefore, our guests enjoy organic and local community supported food from Alberta farmers as well as local power supplied by Bow Valley Power. We feature local artists. We would like to thank Noel Rogers of Bow Valley Photography for the photos on our website. We are currently showing photographs by Jason Carter, Noel Rogers and Craig Richards’. Local paintings are by Kimberly Olson, Matthew Innes and Nicole Iff. Thank you Brad Orr, for the banner photo on our website.
Guests can book their shuttle to Lake Louise or Moraine Lake with the Moraine Lake Bus Co.
